Pilgrimage, the Journey to Christian Unity

4 - 8 September 2008
Pilgrimage to the Precious Blood, Brugge

The pilgrimage, which offers opportunity for the Eucharist both in the Roman Catholic and Anglican traditions, begins with the Celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of the Vineyard, patronal festival of the Benedictine Daughters of the Church, in whose Priory of the Vineyard the pilgrimage stays at the B&eguinage in Brugge. We take a full part in the beautiful worship of the sisters, who maintain the liturgy in Gregorian Chant, for which they are famed. The heart of the pilgrimage is Solemn Mass (Roman Catholic) at the Basilica of the Holy Blood with Veneration of the Relic of the Saviour's Precious Blood. The intention of the pilgrimage is reparation for the sin of division in the Church and for the Unity of Christians.

Speaker: Fr Gary Gill, RC Chaplain, St Thomas's Hospital, Lambeth
