Unitas, the Catholic League, is an ecumenical society based in England, promoting the unity of Christians. It supports the Catholic ecumenical movement and encourages the journey of all towards the visible unity of the whole Church in communion with the Bishop of Rome, and his ministry of reconciliation as successor to St Peter the apostle to 'strengthen his brothers'.

Our members include Anglicans, Roman Catholics, Orthodox, Eastern Catholic and Free Church Christians. Unitas has four objects:

• The promotion of fellowship among those who profess the Catholic faith
  Rediscovering the unity of orthodox Christianity involves commitment to the whole Catholic faith, not just part of it. This involves the historic primacy of the See of Rome and being together in visible communion. Those who aspire to live out this Catholic faith in belief and study, prayer and worship, mission and service can feel isolated. Witnessing to the Church's ecumenical vocation, and rising above earthly separations in search of the reconciliation in faith promised in Catholic unity, can be faced with discouragement and resistance. Unitas supports its members with events, conferences, pilgrimages and retreats, as well as publications, resources, newsletters and its review, The Messenger, published three times every year.
